What exactly is keto?

The keto diet is a slightly stricter variant than other low carbohydrate diets.
The proportion of carbohydrates in the diet is radically reduced – the proportion of fat is significantly increased.

With a normal diet, the body uses the carbohydrates supplied as energy suppliers.
The body normally metabolizes carbohydrates to glucose in order to maintain blood sugar levels and the energy supply.
If carbohydrates are no longer added to the body, the body converts its own fat stores in the liver into so-called ketones.
With the keto diet, the body is switched to fat metabolism.
The organism is now in a fasting state mode and is forced to lose fat.
In the ketogenic diet, you’ll avoid carbohydrate consumption compared to the average diet.
You mainly eat food that contains a higher percentage of fat and protein,
there are also a lot of Healthy low-carbohydrate green leafy vegetables you can eat.

When you avoid food with high carbohydrates the body begins to use fat as fuel and we start to lose weight. During a ketogenic diet, energy needs should be met as follows:

  • Carbohydrates: 10 percent
  •  Proteins: 30 percent
  • Fat: 60 percent

  • Increasing mental and physical performance and endurance
  • Better ability to concentrate
  • Lower heart rate

Cons of Keto,

  • It may have negative effects on heart health. The meat we use in a ketogenic diet is mostly high in saturated fats.
  • The costs, if you prefer quality meat you have to buy organic meat, this is extremely expensive. Average meat you can buy in the supermarket is much cheaper, but most of this meat comes from factory farming, these animals are often treated with growth hormones or antibiotics, which is not really good for your health
  • Nutrient Deficiencies, nutrients typically found in Healthy foods like fruits, legumes, whole grains are completely banned from the diet. And last but not least,
  • The Greenhouse effect, an increase in demand for animal products, particularly beef, is the cause of the ever-increasing deforestation worldwide.

Absolutely yes, when you are healthy and like to lose weight in a short period this can be a good solution for you.

When you combine the ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting it will help you to lose weight and body fat faster than the Ketogenic Diet alone. The good thing is it is not very complicated to combine these two methods with each other, they fit very well together and the effect is great because you take advantage of both forms and lose weight even faster, primarily lose body fat.
When you combine Keto-intermittent fasting in a healthy way it can be one of the fastest methods for weight and body fat loss.

How can we combine Intermittent Fasting and Keto?

Combining the Ketogenic Diet and intermittent fasting allows us to lose weight faster it is a weight loss booster. Long fasting breaks mean we maximize the time we spend in ketosis, our blood sugar levels are kept constantly low, and we have fewer hunger attacks.

When you don’t care about breakfast, and if you don’t mind an early dinner? Keto and Intermittent 16:8 fasting will be an easy thing to do. Of course, this 16:8 can be difficult sometimes, especially on weekends, Holidays at a party, or on long summer nights. For those special days, you can shift to a later hour.

After the party, you should start your first meal an hour later, be sure you have your 16 hours of fasting. Try to eat your two meals within a 5 to 7 hours period. Start with a soup so that your digestion is not immediately overwhelmed. Give your body a break this day, relax, take a walk in nature and try to eat only light food and no alcohol.

When you have a plan before you go to a party, you can enjoy this special day without guilt.

For me, Keto isn’t the right one. I don’t eat so much meat, and I love my fruits, potatoes, and Rice.
